As an astronomy teacher and science writer, Lisa Hill has one main focus: to present and write science material that excites students.  As an education tech reviewer, her focus is to make it easy for parents, teachers, principals, and administrative officials to find the tools to engage students.  And have fun!

At a local community college, Lisa Hill gives astronomy presentations to elementary and middle school students, boy scout and girl scout troops, and public showings in the Geer Planetarium.

She has reviewed software programs for MacDirectory Magazine, prepared educational issues for Science Weekly, written two middle school books for Heinemann Raintree Publishers (SciHi series – Gravity, Property of Elements and Compounds), and provided news articles for the American Chemistry Society. She also enjoys writing monthly articles for SAIL magazine.

For the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Agency (NOAA), she helped write and create activities for the online educational activity Nautical Charts: Mystery in a Bottle. For NERRS, she helped prepare the online information About Estuaries.

And she provided technical writing for the online education game WaterLife.
